For the first time in the world a successful conversion of a Hummer EV SUV to right-hand drive was made by Global Conversions, a Sri Lankan-owned company specializing in automobile re-engineering based in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE.
“Not only have we successfully completed the conversion, but we have also meticulously tested and validated its functionality, ensuring the utmost safety and performance standards,” said founder Chairman, Global Conversions, Suresh Edirisinghe. “This milestone marks just one of many triumphs in our journey, with numerous satisfied customers and expertly converted vehicles to our credit.”
“With a team of experts hailing from Sri Lanka each converted vehicle represents a testament to our craftsmanship and the satisfaction of our clientele and our completion of the world’s first Right Hand Drive Hummer EV is an example of this. “Transitioning our operations from Sri Lanka to Ras Al-Khaimah was an essential strategic move to expand our business internationally and establish a central meeting point for our customers from around the world, facilitating easier access and travel for all parties involved.”
Company is also in the process of converting American Left-Hand Drive vehicles such as GMC, Ford, Lincoln, Dodge, Chevrolet, and Cadillac, as well as North American Toyota and Nissan, to Right-Hand Drive. Edirisinghe, guided by the legacy of his father’s 78-year-old company, Edirisinghe Brothers Ltd., has harnessed invaluable knowledge and expertise to establish Global Conversions.
