Five Chennai bound Lankans held with gold worth Rs. 107 mn

Customs Narcotics Control Unit officers arrested 15 capsules of gold in gel form weighing 5 kg and 650 grams worth around Rs. 107 million along

with five passengers inside a flight bound for Chennai. Officers of Narcotics control unit made this detection at the Bandaranaike International Airport’s departure terminal according to information received from a reliable source. These passengers are businessmen from Colombo and they were bound for India when they were arrested. Customs officers are conducting further investigations.
