Five Police officers attached to the Maligawatte Police Station who had been deployed for duty during the protest march organized by the National People’s Power (NPP) on Sunday have been admitted to the Narahenpita Police Hospital as a result of developing breathing problems due to a stampede and having ingested tear gas.
The Maligawatte Police said that the injured Policemen have been hospitalized.
