Former Attorney General (AG) Dappula de Livera who was summoned to the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) in order to obtain a statement in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks had failed to appear before the division yesterday too.
Accordingly, he has been summoned to the TID on Monday again. A Senior Police officer said that if he fails to appear in the Division on Monday, facts would be filed in Court to obtain a Court order to record a statement from him.
The TID has informed this to former Attorney General in writing. The former Attorney General was summoned to the TID on April 19 but did not turn up at the Division and was represented by a lawyer.
