Former Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhasasana Kamal Bandara Dissanayake has been arrested by the Bribery Commission over allegations of causing a Rs. 4.79 million loss to the government.
Dissanayake is accused of authorising the printing of books without following the required government procurement procedures.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) alleges that the irregular printing process resulted in a loss of approximately Rs. 4.79 million to the state.
