The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a former Ragala Lanka Sathosa Assistant Manager on Thursday (11) in connection with a fraud of more than Rs.15.1 million in stocks of goods. The CID Special Investigations Unit took into custody K. A. B. Dissanayake (47),
a resident of Padiyapelella. According to the CID, this person has defrauded stocks of goods valued at Rs.15,113,012 over a long period of time. He was arrested, subsequent to a lengthy investigation carried out based on a complaint that had been made.
