Four fined for violating quarantine rules during pandemic

Four individuals who pleaded guilty of violating the quarantine rules during the COVID pandemic were fined Rs.11,500 each by the Attanagalla No. 02 Magistrate Manjula Karunaratne on Tuesday (30).

Wasantha Kumara, Gayan Sanjeeva, D.Wijesinghe and Ajith Sisira Kumara were fined.

The Pallewela police had filed a case against the four accused for violating the quarantine rules. The four of them were fined after they pleaded guilty to the charges when they were called before court again on Tuesday (30).
