Four leading private hospitals queried about kidney racket

The Colombo Crime Division reported to the Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya that reports were called from four leading private hospitals regarding a kidney racket targeting poor families in Colombo and its suburbs.

The Colombo Crime Division informed that they have investigated four complaints regarding this incident and reported the facts to Court.

According to the orders obtained from the court, reports were called from four private hospitals regarding the related kidney surgeries, and the Colombo Crime Division also informed the Court that reports have been received from one hospital so far.

Regarding this incident, the officers of Colombo Crime Division Chief Police Inspector Ranasinghe and Deputy Police Inspector Ratnamalala presented facts to the Court.
