The Navy’s Research and Development Unit, in collaboration with the Naval Social Responsibility Project and funded by the Presidential Secretariat is spearheading an initiative to install 31 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants across 31 locations in the Anuradhapura district. As part of this, four more RO plants were declared open at Janasirigama in Galenbindunuwewa Divisional Secretariat, Hinguruwewagama, Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya of 21 Colony West and Mahagaswewa Maha Vidyalaya on Wednesday (4).
As part of this initiative, seven Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants have already been installed, with an additional 24 are set to be operational by December 13. These new installations will serve the Padaviya, Galnewa, Tambuththegama, Kekirawa, Talawa, Kahatagasdigiliya, Nochchiyagama, Horowpothana and Tirappane Divisional Secretariats in the Anuradhapura district.
