Four State Ministers have been removed from their positions by President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday, the Presidential Media Division said.
The PMD said that Ports and Aviation Services State Minister Premalal Jayasekara, Power and Energy State Minister Indika Anuruddha, Agriculture State Minister Mohan Priyadarshana de Silva and Highways State Minister Siripala Gamlath have been officially removed from their positions with immediate effect.
“This decision was made as per the powers vested to the President by Article 47(3)(a) of the Constitution”, the PMD said.
