Githmira excels in chess

Githmira Fernando from Makandana Sri Sudarshana Adarsha Maha Vidyalaya, Piliyandala took part in the All Island, Sri Lanka School Chess Tournament 2022 under 7 Boys event. Githmira’s Ranked in10th place in this tournament.

This tournament was held at President’s College, Rajagiriya recently. Top 11 players were selected for the finals. A player from Makandana Sri Sudarshana Vidyalaya was selected for the all island tournament for the first time.
