SERVE is launching an activity book called Goal @ Home Activity Book, which contains many life skills activities with the aim of improving the daily life and education of girls affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The book will be launched both in print and online. The book is available in Sinhala and Tamil. Founded in 1999, SERVE is a Sri Lankan not-for-profit organization dedicated to the uplifting of children, youth and women. The vision of SERVE is to contribute to a society that supports and ensures equality, dignity and humaneness of people, especially children and women, to realize their rights and achieve their full potential.
This programme is implemented in partnership with Women Win in the Netherlands and with the kind sponsorship of Standard Chartered Foundation.
The activities of this book can also be completed online in English, Sinhala or Tamil by logging into www.lamun.org website. Also, girls between the ages of 13 and 18 living in any area can join this program and study the activity book for free. Girls can register with the programme individually as well as in groups through various societies and institutions. A printed copy of the activity book is then given which can be studied independently at home with the necessary guidance and support provided by experienced social workers at SERVE. Girls who successfully complete this book will be awarded a certificate after an assessment. Details could be obtained by emailing servelk@gmail.com
