The government has issued a breakdown on the salaries, allowances, and other expenses incurred on behalf of retired Presidents and widowed spouses from 2015 to 2025.
Accordingly, a total of Rs. 33,003,454 in expenses has been incurred by the government for the period from 01st January 2015 to 30th June 2025.
The expense has been recorded for Hema Premadasa, Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge, Mahinda Rajapaksa, Maithripala Sirisena, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and Ranil Wickremesinghe.
