Great Place to Work announces ‘Best Workplaces in Asia’

Global authority on workplace culture, ‘Great Place to Work’ recently announced its Best Workplaces in Asia for 2024 , where the winners were felicitated at an awards ceremony held on September 11, at Hilton Colombo.

The list is based on confidential survey data where employees share their experience on trust, innovation, values and leadership. From this feedback, 200 organisations were ranked on their success in creating a For All workplace experience.

Leading the multinational category one again are DHL Express and Hilton, retaining their first and second-place rankings among 30 recognised MNCs.

In the large category, which includes companies with over 500 employees, Hayleys Plantations ranked first and Dankotuwa Porcelain was third among 70 organisations.

In the Small and Medium category, Oxford College of Business was once again the highest-ranked Sri Lankan organization at No. 2 among 100 SMEs.

Great Place To Work selected the 2024 Best Workplaces in Asia List by analyzing workplace programs and surveying over 2.7 million employees across Asia and the Middle East, representing nearly 6.9 million employees.

To qualify, organisations must first be recognised as outstanding in their local region by appearing on one or more of the Best Workplaces Lists in countries like Bahrain, Greater China, India and others during 2023 or early 2024.

Organisations are ranked in three categories: 100 small and medium, 70 large and 30 multinationals. Multinationals are also evaluated on their ability to create great workplaces across multiple countries in the region. They must appear on at least two national lists in Asia and the Middle East and have at least 1,000 employees worldwide, with either 40% of their workforce or more than 5,000 employees outside their headquarters country.
