Hobbit House emerged as the overall champion at the British School in Colombo (BSC) Junior Inter-House Athletic Meet held at the Torrington Grounds in Colombo.
Securing a total of 604 points, Hobbit House claimed the top spot, surpassing Griffin House (580 points), who took second place. Unicorn House secured the third spot with 495 points, followed by Centaur House in fourth place with 457 points.
In addition to the team victory, Hobbit House celebrated individual successes. Sansa Jayawardena from Hobbit House became the Year-5 Girls’ champion athlete. The Boys’ championship was a shared triumph, with Arya Fernando (Centaur), Ali Basheer (Hobbit), Zayd Karimjee (Hobbit), and Ritesh Sivashanth (Unicorn) all claiming the top spot.
Moving on to Year-6, Maya Saba of Unicorn House clinched the Girls’ championship title, while the Boys’ championship was jointly won by Aric Seneviratne (Hobbit) and Neven Munasinghe (Unicorn). (SJ)
