Hockey player. Goal Keeper of the side, Member of the All Island under 16, 18 and 20 Hockey Teams 2019 Inter District Best Goal Keeper, Member of the 2022 Provincial Champion Team, Member of the Junior National Tour of Singapore and Member of the Asian Games qualifying team on the tour to Indonesia Peirisge Neeliya Kaushini has brought honour and glory to her alma mater Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa and the motherland with her deeds in the field of Hockey.
Neeliya who was bom on June 2 2003 was admitted to Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa in 2019 and from grade one to grade nine she did not take any interest in sports and her Parents Kumara Singhe and Priyanka Nilani Femando made arrangements to hand over their daughter to the Schools coach Milan Boteju and her first attempt was the under 20 Open Schools Tournament at Anuradhapura and they came second runner up and in 2018 they participated in the All Island Tournaments and were the Runner up in under 16, 18 twice and under 20 tournaments
in the same year Inter District tourney Second Runner up and Junior Nationals under 21 Champions and she was adjudged the Best Goal Keeper and in the Royal College Sevens tournament they were the second runner up and with all these performances under her belt she was selected for the Junior National Hockey tour of Singapore where six countries participated and Sri Lanka lasses came fifth.
In 2022 they were the Inter District Schools Champions and she carried away the Best Goal Keeper Award. In the meantime she was selected for the squad of eleven players and with these deeds under her belt she was selected for the Asian Games qualifying tournament held in Indonesia.
In 2019 and 2020 they were the champions and in 2020 second runner up in the National Schools tournament and finally they were the all All Island National Schools Champions conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association and Neelia received the Best .Goal Keeper Award.
