The Inter-Regiment Combat Firing Competition-2023 Certificates and Trophies Awarding Ceremony commenced at the Sri Lanka Military Academy Gymnasium on 22 November, graced by Major General G.R.R.P Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army. The competition featured three distinct categories: open, service, and novices.
In the open category, the Gemunu Watch clinched the championship in combat firing, while the Sri Lanka Artillery secured the runner-up position, and the Commando Regiment claimed the third spot.
The Novice category witnessed the Gamunu Watch emerging victorious, while the Commando Regiment and Sri Lanka Light Infantry secured the second and third positions, respectively. Notably, the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police claimed the championship in the service regiment category of the combat firing competition, followed by the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps in the second position and the Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineering securing the third position.
