Hyundai Abans has joined forces with the Colombo Motor Show as the Official Automotive Partner for this year’s event.

The Colombo Motor Show stands as Sri Lanka’s premier international automotive gathering, drawing automotive enthusiasts and industry leaders from around the country.

With a history of bringing together leading automakers and attracting over 70,000 visitors in a single event, it has earned its place as the marquee event of the automotive calendar.

Hyundai, the world’s 3rd largest automotive manufacturer, has entrusted Abans as their authorized distributor in Sri Lanka. Abans Auto has entered into a landmark agreement with Hyundai Motor Company, paving the way for the assembly and manufacturing of Hyundai vehicles and components under license in Sri Lanka.

This revolutionary partnership between Abans Auto and Hyundai Motor Company of Korea marks a significant milestone in Sri Lankan automotive engineering. It facilitates the transfer of cutting-edge engineering processes and world-class component manufacturing technologies, forging partnerships with globally acclaimed OEM vendors.

This collaboration has led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art vehicle assembly line in Seeduwa, where the impressive Hyundai Grand i10 is assembled. The project is set to elevate the national automobile assembly and automotive components manufacturing industry, gaining recognition on the international stage and solidifying Sri Lanka’s place in the global automotive landscape.

The Hyundai Grand i10, a 1200CC automatic vehicle, boasts a Kappa 1.2L MPI petrol engine with an 4-speed automatic transmission featuring tiptronic function. Its impressive features include an 8” touchscreen with smartphone integration, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, 14” alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish option, power-operated side mirrors, and electronically folding mirrors.

The interior is stylish, featuring leather and fabric combination seats, manual A/C control, a rear parcel tray for extra storage, versatile boot space (252L), a cooling glove box, multifunction steering with audio and phone controls, power outlets, USB ports, hill start assist control, rear parking assist system, bench-fold rear seats with iSOFIX, tyre pressure monitoring, front fog lights, and much more.

We invite you to experience the Hyundai Grand i10 firsthand at the Colombo Motor Show from November 17-19, at the BMICH. This is your opportunity to witness the remarkable Sri Lankan-assembled Hyundai Grand i10 up close.
