Transform your enthusiasm into a successful career at the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon at the Open Day on January 25, at 10:00 am at Adamantane House, Rajagiriya.
The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, established by the Act of Parliament No. 15 of 1972, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing Chemical Science in Sri Lanka.
With a rich history dating back to 1941, we are one of the oldest and most respected scientific bodies in the country. Our mission is to foster a strong foundation in chemistry through high-quality education and cutting-edge research.
We offer several main programmes, including the Bachelor of Science Honors (BSc Hons) in Chemical Science, a comprehensive four-year full-time programme meeting Sri Lanka Quality Framework (SLQF) standards, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to contribute to sustainable development and global chemical research.
The Graduateship in Chemistry Programme (GIC) is a four-year professional qualification recognised for nearly fifty years and accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the UK. It is an excellent alternative to a traditional science degree and is highly valued for employment and further education.
Additionally, we offer the Bachelor of Science Honours in Biotechnology and Bachelor of Science Honours in Chemical Technology, provided by Kursk State Medical University, Russia, as well as a two-year professional qualification in Diploma in Laboratory Technology.
Our programmes offer a deep dive into core and advanced courses, covering organic, physical, inorganic, analytical and biochemistry. You’ll have the opportunity to tailor your education with industry-focused courses and practical experiences, engage in research projects or internships and develop management skills through our unique combination of chemical science and management.
Our expert faculty, consisting of senior academics and professionals with specialized knowledge in their fields, will guide you through your academic journey.
