As part of the Campaign, Finance Monitoring exercise initiated by a collective of election monitoring missions the Institute of Democratic Reforms and Electoral Studies (IDRES) is keeping tabs 24×7 on election related advertisements being aired on nine mainstream TV channels, news radio and print media.
Executive Director of IDRES, Manjula Gajanayake said that as it was the first time the Regulation of Election Expenditure Act No 3 of 2023 was being tested.
