Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa points out that the agreement with the IMF should be more people-centric for the country to move forward.
Premadasa noted the above at a rally organised by the SJB to ensure his victory at the upcoming election in Mawanella yesterday.
Premadasa said that IMF agreement cannot be abolished but it should be made more people friendly and his suggestion to IMF officials was that Sri Lanka should be allowed to restart loan repayments from 2033, instead of the agreement reached by the government to make loan repayments from 2028.
The Opposition Leader also said here that a future SJB government will create a million new businesses which will help to expand the economy and strengthen the manufacturing sector.
