India handed over a fuel consignment of 40,000 MTs to SL

India yesterday handed over a fuel consignment of 40,000 metric tonnes from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to Sri Lanka as part of the bilateral partnership to ensure energy security in the country. The fuel consignment was delivered by the Oil tanker ‘Swarna Pushp’ arriving from India. Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila receiving the necessary documents from Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay on board the oil tanker. Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Chairman Sumith Wijesinghe was also present.
