Indian CEOs call upon BOI

Indian CEO Forum-Sri Lanka Chairman T. S Prakash and the Board representing diverse industries – from automobile, banking, cement, and FMCG to fuel, glass, hospitality, infrastructure, logistics, packaging, paint, and pharmaceuticals, had discussions with the BOI Officials on several topics and discussed potential opportunities for reinvestment including setting up of industry advisory councils for key thrust areas.

During the discussion, it was agreed that both parties would work together to foster more Indian investment and involvement in the economy.

Trinco Tank farm development continues

Progress on the Trinco Tank farm projects has progressed further. Alongside the pending further development of oil infrastructure in Hambantota the country remains well positioned to pivot upwards the provision of bunkering services while maintaining adequate capacity for domestic consumption.

LIOC MD Manoj Gupta said, “We are pleased to share the health assessment works in full swing for 10 tanks. A major milestone was achieved in the path of development of Trinco Tanks. Joint efforts of Ceylon Petroleum Company and Lanka Indian Oil Company shall shape a new era of business development.”
