Indian High Commissioner Gopal Bagley commencing his visit to the Northern Province yesterday arrived at the Medawachchiya railway station by train from Colombo to Medawachiya.
The railway line from Anuradhapura to Omanthai was also upgraded under the financial assistance from India.
