Inflation drops by 35.3% in April

The Department of Census and Statistics yesterday said that inflation in Colombo has dropped to 35.3 percent in April.

Sri Lanka’s headline inflation, as measured by the Year-on-Year (Y-O-Y) change in the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), significantly eased to 35.3% in April 2023, in comparison to March 2023, the department said.

The CCPI-based inflation was calculated as 50.3% for March.
