Three of the four paratroopers who were hospitalized following a mid-air accident during the rehearsals for the Independence Day celebrations, have recovered and been discharged from the hospital today.
Two Army paratroopers and two Air Force paratroopers were hospitalized due to an accident that occurred Tuesday (30) during the rehearsal of the Independence Day celebrations. Accordingly, the parachutes of four military personnel get entangled due to the sudden wind and the change of the wind direction. Following this incident four paratroopers were hospitalised.
Air Force Commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa said that the two air force paratroopers were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital after the accident and were discharged from the hospital yesterday
