International Study Centre celebrates excellence with graduation ceremony

The International Study Centre (ISC), a leading Sri Lankan organisation dedicated to international education, recently celebrated their academic excellence with a Graduation Ceremony held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

The event, which took place on August 3, was a testament to the dedication and perseverance of ISC students, faculty and staff.

High Commissioner for Canada in Sri Lanka and the Maldives Eric Walsh graced the event as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the international recognition of ISC’s commitment to educational excellence.

International Study Centre Director Dr. Harry Prasad, delivered an insightful speech on behalf of the management. A SLMC Registered Medical Practitioner. He is also the official representative for the Belarusian State Medical University in Sri Lanka and the Sri Lankan President for the International Graduates’ Association – Belarus.

International Study Centre and a Lecturer at the National Eye Hospital Principal Chashitha Ashanthi, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. Other notable personalities who participated in the successful graduation ceremony included Abdul Majeed Kaiyoom, Senior Trade Officer at the High Commission of Canada in Sri Lanka and the Maldives; Induja Pushpanathan, Director/Chief Operating Officer of the International Study Centre and Shanali De Silva, Director/General Manager of the International Study Centre.

ISC Education boasts the highest passing rate of students in Sri Lanka, a testament to its rigorous academic standards and supportive learning environment. In this year’s graduating class, students were awarded honors, while higher achieving students received merit awards. Additionally, all students from the batch have already gained admission to prestigious colleges in countries such as USA, Canada, UK, France, Netherlands, Australia, UAE/Dubai, Malaysia and Belarus.

Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), a highly esteemed Canadian qualification that is recognised by universities worldwide. This hybrid secondary school programme catering to grades 9 to 12 provides tailor-made courses that align with students’ future aspirations.

The OSSD is globally recognised and accepted by over 500 universities worldwide, making it a highly valued credential, equal to Sri Lanka’s General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (A/Ls), approved by the Department of Examinations.

The OSSD Science Pathway has received recognition from the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC), positioning it as an equivalent qualification to GCE, London Cambridge and Edexcel A/Ls.
