ITN sports producer Kapila Liyanage dies

Senior Sports producer of ITN, Kapila Liyanage passed away. Kapila Krishantha Liyanage the 49 year old producer worked to develop sports in the electronic media field. He started his media life at the Rupavahini and later joined the ITN as a sports producer.

He is an old boy of Ananda College, Colombo and has covered many international sports events including Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. His remains lie at No. 53D, 9th lane, Wickramasinghepura and the funeral will be held today, 6pm at Welipara General Cemetery Thalawathugoda. (D.R)
