Inter University Students Federation(IUSF) Convenor Wasantha Mudalige who was released by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s court was noticed to appear on March 27 by the Colombo High Court.
The Colombo High Court has issued this summons, setting a date for summoning the
appeal filed by the Attorney General against the release by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court stating that there is no evidence against suspect, Mudalige.
The Attorney General’s Department said that no request has been made for Mudalige’s arrest or remand in this appeal petition and the appeal was submitted only to amend the order of the Magistrate’s Court.
