The Sri Lanka Janahanda Foundation recently concluded its two-day ‘100 Years Leadership Training Programme’ with the participation of 60 students from Sudarshanarama Dhamma School in Pitipana, Homagama.
The event focused on enhancing students’ personality development, problem-solving skills, teamwork and mental resilience through a series of practical exercises and interactive sessions.
Led by Youth Affairs Coordinator K. A. Krishantha Neelsiri, the programme aimed to instill critical qualities such as planning, self-awareness and adaptability to challenges. Students were also trained to foster a positive environment in their homes, schools, and communities.
The initiative was fully funded by the Sri Lanka Janahanda Foundation, a voluntary organisation chaired by Sirilal Dias. Since its establishment in 2005, the Foundation has conducted over 100 free leadership training programmes across schools, universities, Dhamma schools and children’s homes in the fields of education, cultural initiatives, youth and child development and support for the elderly.
