Janali, Savini clinch women’s doubles title

Janali Manamperi (MAS Holding) and Savini Jayasuriya (Gateway College, Colombo) beat Neyara Weeraesnsa and Tuwini De Alwis 6/1 6/2 in the final and bagged the women’s doubles title at the 106th Tennis Nationals worked off at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts yesterday.

Yasith de Silva and Dineshkanthan Thangaraja won the men’s doubles fist semifinal against Winuja Wijebandara and Rostom Alli 6/1’6/3. The men’s doubles second semifinal saw Thehan Wijemanne and Chathurya Nilaweera beating Dilvan Herath and Archana Lokuge 6/2, 6/2. Yasith and Dineshkanthan will battle it out against Chathurya and Thehan in the men’s doubles finals. AA
