Jehan Perinpanayagam appointed SLASSCOM Chairman

Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM ), appointed Jehan Perinpanayagam as their new Chairman for the year 2023/ 2024.

With an impressive career spanning 26 years, including 16 years at the C suite-level, Jehan has achieved many trailblazing milestones, including pioneering in establishing the first shared services in Sri Lanka, introducing the country’s initial rural BPMs, and leading various other industry “firsts, firmly positioning him as a prominent thought leader in his field.

Excelling in leading large teams and spearheading transformational projects, Jehan’s track record of success in driving change and innovation has earned him a reputation as a purpose-driven leader. Firmly believing in the power of business as a force for good, he has consistently created a positive impact both within the industry and the broader community.

Jehan’s outstanding achievements have been recognized through several accolades, that include the Chairman’s Award for CSR from John Keells and the CMA National Business Excellence award.

In his current role as the CEO of Infomate Pvt Limited, Jehan leads the company’s overall operations and strategic direction. Under his leadership, Infomate Pvt Limited has achieved significant growth and success, solidifying its position as a leading player in the industry. Jehan also holds the position as the Senior Vice President of John Keells Holdings (JKH).

Furthermore, he holds several other leadership positions as the Chairman of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and President of the Sri Lanka Nordic Business Council.

Jehan stated; “I am honored to assume the role as the Chairman at SLASSCOM and to build on the outstanding effort and commitment of former Chairs and champions of the industry.”

Outlining his plans to elevate the industry’s prominence on the global stage, Jehan stated he will focus on strengthening the IOI (Island of Ingenuity) branding initiative and consolidate partnerships with renowned global companies to project Sri Lanka as an ideal destination for IT/BPM services.

He further plans to tap into regional talent pools beyond the western province, to nurture a diverse and skilled workforce, ensuring sustained growth and industry resilience.
