Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena has reportedly resigned as President of the Judicial Service Association in protest against a decision to hold what he described as an unlawful general meeting.
According to reports, Magistrate Amarasena stepped down from the post after objecting to the Association’s decision to convene a general meeting without the required quorum, alleging that the meeting was being held illegally. (Newswire)
