Friday June 30 has been declared as a special bank holiday by the government. Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena as the Public Administration, Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government Minister made this announcement by way of a Gazette Extraordinary under the Employees’ Holiday Act of 1971.
