The Junior National Division-2 Basketball Championship, conducted by the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation (SLBF) will be worked off from November 11 to 13 at the Gateway College Basketball Courts and at St. Anthony’s Girls’ College Basketball Courts in Kandy.
Kandy DBA, Batticaloa DBA, Galle DBA and Vavuniya DBA are the teams competing in Group ‘A’ while Kurunegala DBA, Puttalam DBA, Trincomalee DBA and the Sri Lanka Universities will vie for honours in Group ‘B’.
Earlier, the SLBF conducted the Division Three Junior Nationals in Trincomalee last month where the host team emerged champions while overcoming Vavuniya DBA 45-41 in a thrilling final encounter.
In addition, the Sri Lanka Universities will be making their debut at this tournament and should be able to provide some stiff challenge to the more fancied teams.
