Kaela takes on Gehansa at U-14 singles final

Kaela De Zoysa of Bishops college and Gehansa Methnadi of Musaeus College have qualified to play in the under 14 girls singles final of the ongoing HNB-SLTA Clay Court Tennis Championship worked off at the SLTA courts yesterday. Kaela beat Oneli de Silva 6/1, 6/1 in the first semi final while Gehansa edged out Yasita Warnakulasuriya 7/5, 6/2 in the second semi final.

Meanwhiel in the boys’ under 14 event saw Mayanka Perera of S. Thomas College and Saha Kapilasena of Elizabeth Moir School advanced into the final after tough semi final battles. Mayanka beat Abdul Cader 6/4, 7/6(4), 6/3 and Saha Kapilasena defeated Kenuka Geeganage 6/3, 4/6, 6/3 in semi finals. (AA)
