Twelve-year-old grade five all round Volleyball player, last year’s DSI All Island under eleven Boys Best Player and this years DSI under 13 Best Player Pallawa Arachchige Kenuja Tharul of Dammissara National School Nattandiya has brought honour and glory for his alma mater in the field of Volleyball.

Kenuja who hails from Danukannawa, Nattandiya was born on 9th January 2012 and admitted to his present school in 2016 to grade one. Following his Parents foot steps former Dammissara Volleyball player Haritha Gishan and mother Nirmala Sudarshani former Volleyball player of Madampa Central commenced volleyball when he was in grade three. Last year at the all island DSI Tournament he carried away the under eleven Best Player Award and this year after sweeping, the board at Divisional, Zonal, District and Provincial they were the under 13 All Island DSI Champions and he was adjudged the Best Player. Kenuja’s coach is Keerthi Jayasekera.
