A forum of political leaders who entered politics from the UNP and headed various political institutions in the Anuradhapura district was established yesterday.
The group which includes former Chair persons, Opposition Leaders and MPs, Provincial Councillors and Pradeshiya Sabha members, who entered politics from the United National Party since 1987, stated they formed this forum with the aim of working together in making future political decisions.
This forum includes a group of political representatives from Anuradhapura who entered politics from the United National Party and now representing other parties.
They stressed that their group will make collective decisions in future with regards to national level politics.
A group of politicians representing areas in Anuradhapura such as Horowpothana, Mihintale, Thalawa, Padaviya and other areas have joined this organization.
