The National Photographic Art Society of Sri Lanka (NPAS) recently hosted its 20th International Exhibition of Photography. The event, which took place JDA Perera Gallery in Colombo on July 2 and 3, featured works from photographers from all over the world.

The exhibition was opened by Lal Hegoda, a son of the NPAS founder, Late Wilson Hegoda. Hegoda is a veteran photographer, photography teacher, and former president of the NPAS. He spoke about the importance of photography in Sri Lankan culture and the role that the NPAS has played in promoting the art form.

The exhibition was judged by a panel of six experts from around the world, including Reha Bilir from Turkey, Pierluigi Rizzato from Italy, Daved Tay from Singapore, Dr Lalith Ekanayake, Bandu Gunaratne, and Mohan Gurusinghe from Sri Lanka.

The 20th International Exhibition of Photography was a major success. It showcased the talents of photographers from all over the world and celebrated the rich history of photography in Sri Lanka.
