A vessel carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of gas is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today (18), Litro Gas Lanka announced.
The company said unloading operations would begin as soon as possible after the vessel arrives.
With the arrival of the shipment, a further 350,000 domestic gas cylinders will be released to the market over the next three days, the company said.
Litro added that it had already released 350,000 domestic gas cylinders to the market over the past three days, including today, as part of efforts to maintain an uninterrupted gas supply.
The company also urged consumers to refrain from unnecessarily stockpiling gas cylinders. (Newswire)
