Charith Sandakelum, alias “Ran Malli,” identified by Sri Lanka Police as one of the country’s largest narcotics suppliers, has been arrested in Bulgaria.
Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya confirmed the arrest.
The IGP said diplomatic steps would be taken through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to arrange for the suspect to be brought back to Sri Lanka.
Further details regarding the arrest and the arrangements for his return have not yet been disclosed. (Newswire)
