E. B. Shamika Malkanthi De Silva secured the First Place (all-Island) in Dhamma subject at the Dhamma, Abhidhamma – Pali, certificate examination – 2023 conducted by Young Men’s Buddhist Association.
A resident of Mount Lavinia Shamika is a graduate teacher in Science, technology and ICT subjects. She had received M. A. Degree in Buddhist studies from University of Kelaniya and in criminal science and criminal justice from the University of Jayewardenepura. An attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court she is an active member of the executive committee of Sri Lanka Women Layers’ Association for over 20 years.
