Malwathu Anunayake Theras and Getambe Thera invoke blessings on President

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa visited the Malwathu Vihara this morning (06) and received blessings from the Most Venerable Dimbulkumbure Wimaladhamma Anunayake Thera.

The Anunayake Thera chanted Seth Pirith and invoked blessings on the President. The Thera said that the Maha Sangha have faith that the aspirations of the people would be fulfilled by overcoming all obstacles.

The President called on the Most Venerable Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera, the Anunayake of Malwathu Chapter, and engaged in a brief conversation.

Ven. VijithasiriThera extended wishes for the President’s future endeavors and presented a book to commemorate the visit.

The President then visited the Getambe Rajopavanaramaya and called on Ven. Keppetiyagoda Siriwimala Nayaka Thera, senior Karaka Sangha Sabha member of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya. The President briefed the Thera on the current situation in the country and the aspirations of the government.

Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Prof. Kapila Gunawardena was also present.
