A suspect arrested with four illegal trap guns in the Vannamkulama area was fined Rs. 80,000 by the Kahatagasdigiliya Magistrate’s Court on October 9.
The suspect was taken into custody on October 3 by Moragoda Wildlife Officers during an operation in Vannamkulama. Following his arrest, wildlife officials produced the suspect before the Kahatagasdigiliya Magistrate’s Court on October 9.
The Magistrate ordered the suspect to pay a fine of Rs. 20,000 for each charge, totaling Rs. 80,000 for the four illegal trap guns found in his possession. (Newswire)
