Right hand middle order bat, medium pace bowler and safe fielder, School and Provincial colours holder, Sri Lanka under 21 cricket development squad member athlete and volleyball player Manohari Nisansala Jayasinghe has brought honour and glory to her school Wadduwa Central College with her deeds in the field of sports.
Then in the following year she did a Marathon and came second and in her last year in under 15 she won the discus and the putt shot . In addition to athletics she played for the inter house volleyball team and later for the school team and in 2016 she was the under 15 captain and participated at the Zonal Tournament but could not come up to expectations.
Then her school participated in the inter school cricket tournament in 2016 and she performed well and her parents Manjula Upul Prasantha and Kumari Fernando noticing her talent in cricket made arrangements to admit her to Wadduwa Central College in 2017 and she was an unanimous choice for the under 19 team and played in few matches and played the Big Match against Mahanama College Panadura and her coach is Danushka Perera. In the following year too she played in six school matches and in this instance they played versus Marapola Vidyalaya in Minuwangoda as their Big Match and her teacher in Charge were Mrs. Anusha Weeramanthri, Mrs. Gayathri de Silva and Mrs. Pavithra de Silva and in 2020 they came up to Singer Finals against Devapathiraja College Rathgama and lost and she received school and Provincial cricket colours. Then in 2021 they came up to semi finals in the Singer Tournament and lost to Rathnavali Balika Gampaha. With these performances under her belt she was selected to the Sri Lanka under 21 Development Cricket Squad and in the meantime her father left the shores and her uncle N. S. Navarathne is supporting her cricket.
