The 19th Battle of the Golden Pennant between St. Thomas College, Matara and Rahula College, Matara will be played at Uyanwatte Stadium Matara at 2.30 pm today.

Of the 18 Matches played so far from 2002 St. Thomas have won 8 games while Rahula have won 9 matches while the 2018 match was drawn.
This encounter was not played in 2019, 2020 and 2021 due to Covid 19. Rahula College is hosting this year’s tournament with the backing of Principal Samitha Kurukulasuriya with the support of St. Thomas’ Principal P. A. Weerakkody. St. Thomas’ College will be Captained by T.D. Damiru Wath silu while Rahula will be led by K. V. Ravindu Sameera the Matara Thomians will be coached by Gayanthika Ranasinghe while Rahula is being coached by A. B. Weerappuli.
