Mattresses, mosquito nets donated to Weerambugedara Hospital

The Uparathana Paramitha Foundation provided essentials to the General Hospital in Kurunegala, Weerambugedara, on Saturday (18) to enhance facilities for patients.

Uparathana Paramitha Foundation President, the Chief Adhikarana Sanghanayaka for North America, Most Ven. Katugastota Uparathana Nayaka Thera, along with the foundation’s members, donated mattresses and mosquito nets to the hospital.

The Weerambugedara General Hospital is a ‘C’ category hospital and can provide care to 15 patients daily. Additionally, the hospital can cater to 150 outpatients daily.

Ven. Uparathana Nayaka Thera stated that the Uparathana Paramitha Foundation will also support the hospital’s renovation efforts in the future.

The foundation’s executive director Dr. Jivika Udayangani Katumatiyawa, along with the hospital’s administrative staff, was present.
