Deniyaya, which belongs to Kotapola district secretariat division and the new Mederipitiya Bridge on the road leading from Mederipitiya to Sinharaja entrance, was made under the leadership of the co-chairman of the Matara District Coordinating Committee, MP Nipuna Ranawaka.
The bridge was completed within a short period of one year and was sponsored by the Dutch government under the Rural Bridges and Infrastructure Development Programme.
A group of local residents and people’s representatives of the area participated in this occasion.
