Eheliyagoda Police started an investigation according to information they received that a man and a woman fell on the ground and the man was dead and the woman passed away after being admitted to the hospital on Saturday (7). Police said that the deceased persons were siblings and the man was 73 years and the woman was 57 years.
It has been revealed that the son of the deceased man murdered them by hitting them due to a dispute and that the suspect is suffering from a mental disorder. The 30-year-old suspect was arrested and presented to the forensic doctor at the Eheliyagoda Hospital and he advised to present the suspect to a psychiatrist from Prison. Eheliyagoda Police conducting further investigations.
