The Division II Mercantile football Championship organised by the Mercantile Football Association will commence on November 8 and will continue until December 6 at the City League grounds. According to the organisers if rain interrupted the matches will play at Beddagana grounds as an alternative.
Altogether 16 registered teams have drawn into four groups namely A, B, C and D. The first round matches will be conducted on league basis.
The curtain-riser between Teejay Lanka PLC and Wins Global Services will kick off at 2.00pm and will be followed by the match between Dialog Axiata PLC and Commercial Bank PLC at 3.15pm.
